The cutting of woods
I forgot the year but I hope at that time I was in Standard 3 or 4 when there was a strike of the guards of forest Department. The huge sal forest was deforested by cutting down within 7-10 days. It was very painful but I couldnot help at that time.

Woods of Salakati
The route from Kokrajhar to Salakati was the welcomed by a very nice woods of Sal trees. I still remembered the jungle trek to search the picnic spot during the winter vacation. The trek team was leaded by seniors. The adventurous and horror dream of those visits.

Salakati
I came here when I was at the age of 3 years with my parents. My father was transferred there from Dhaligaon, near Bongaigaon. We stayed there till 2003 when my age was 18 years. Lots of my childhood memories are related with this place. After few days stay in Guest House we shifted to Type III, Q No. 10 after that Type II, Q no. 10 and at last Type II, Q no. 14. The parks where I played, the road where I rode my small cycle. The Bus Journey to school still reminds me of those days. Viswakarma Puja at plant the full day of freedom.
